Look Out Point is located at Ampang Hill, also known as
“Little Genting”. As there is no public transportation, you can only get
there by car or taxi. I met with friends at Tesco, Cheras and carpool.
The restaurants start operations in the evening. It’s
best to arrive around 7pm, it was not crowded. We parks at the ground level
which is charge RM2. We walk up the stairs to the restaurants, only takes few
minutes. For an extra RM3 you can choose to drive up to the road to the jockey parking. This
is recommended only if you cannot walk up a flight of stairs. As the parking
upstairs is limited and can get crowded.
There got few restaurants to choose; Haven, Gasoline-Cafe, Look Out Point Western Food, Gasoline-Cafe and Panorama Restaurant.
Panorama Restaurant is the newest restaurant, located at
the Look Out Tower.
Before that we can climb up the tower to catch the panoramic view of KL and
used to be free for everyone. But is becomes Panorama Dining area and commercialized. We choose Haven, it serve Malaysian, middle Eastern and western cuisine. Fresh Flower and candles adoring each table, it given a warm & Malaysian Feel.
I order 1/2 Chicken With Briyani Rice, RM22. The price is still considered reasonable, food are average. my friend order Tom Yam Rice, taste not bad.
Look Out point is the best place
to dine and feel the cooling fresh air. We enjoy the beautiful sunset scenery
of KL. Views are unforgettable.
